Poem 2: Nobody

This is my second poem that I'm putting up on the blog. I wrote this after a hard hitting break-up with my partner of 3 and a half years. For me this is one my my favorites that I wrote as it comes across very bitter, but you can still see that there's hope. I also think it uses the delusion that you get in a relationship and applies it to this Nobody, who is everyone's ideal partner. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Nobody

Recently my girlfriend left me,
However, I've already got a new one.
She is mad about me,
As loyal as they come
And promises to sand by me till my dieing days,
Her name is Nobody.

The great thing about her is no matter how bad things get
I can always rely on Nobody,
After a hard day at work I come home
And Nobody is waiting for me.

I've got so much love to give,
And Nobody is there to give it to,
She's the kindest person I've met
I can tell Nobody really cares about me.

I'm not much to look at,
But Nobody can see my inner beauty,
I can tell by the way she looks at me,
Nobody needs me.

Sometimes she can be a bit to much,
Nobody is after my hugs and kisses,
But I can forgive her
Because Nobody forgives me.

At the end of my last relationship
I thought I'd never be able to trust anyone,
But now I trust Nobody
And I'm pretty sure Nobody trusts me.

I can see us being together for a long time,
With Nobody I'm never alone,
And when we're together I can tell
Nobody loves me.
